WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – Rogers State women's golf wrapped up their first day of competition at the NCAA National Championships on Tuesday.
 
After 18 holes at the Par 72, 6,003 yard Orange County National Golf Center, the Hillcats sit in 11th place after turning a card of 297 (+9).
 
Brianna Maddux leads the Hillcats as she sits in a group of nine tied at 18th after shooting an even-par 72 in the first round with two birdies.
 
Lydia Sitorus sits in a large group of 15 tied at 35th with a card of 74 (+2). Marelda Ayal is one stroke behind in a large group of 11 tied at 50th with a 75 (+3). Jessica Osden sits in a group of 13 tied at 61st with a 76 (+4). Kristin Gudmundsdottir rounds out the squad in a four-way tie for 85th with a 79 (+7).
 
The Hillcats will look to climb up the leaderboard in the second round tomorrow. The first group is set to tee off at 6:30 a.m. CT.
