CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Rogers State women's golf's Lydia Sitorus has been named a Women's Golf Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-American, the organization announced on Friday.
This is Sitorus' first such honor of her career and she is the first All-American since Jessica Green earned the same honor in 2021. The junior is now the third All-American in program history, joining Green and Jess Whitting (2018).
Hailing from Bitung, Indonesia, Sitorus led the HIllcats back to the NCAA National Championships for the third time in four years after winning the NCAA Division II Central Region Individual Championship with three incredible rounds of 72 (E), 71 (-1) and 71 (-1) for a total card of 214 (-2) and finished five strokes ahead of second place. She was the first Hillcat to win a regional championship since Green won in 2021. She finished the regular season with a 74.54 scoring average and was the ninth-ranked golfer in the region. Sitorus put together eight top 10 finishes, including four top 3 finishes and won the Hillcat Classic.
Earlier this season, Sitorus was all named WGCA All-Central Region as well as First Team All-MIAA.
