No. 30 Hillcats Tabbed Third in Central Region to Tie Program Best Ranking

RSU jumped four spots after a historic conference race

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its regional rankings on Tuesday afternoon, and the No. 30 Hillcats checked in at third for the second time this season.

Rogers State finished strong as the runner-up at the MIAA Championships last weekend, climbing four spots from last week's standings. Amy Morefield placed fourth and Kaylee Nay secured 10th, both earning All-MIAA First Team honors. Additionally, Brooklyn Garafola (11th), Emily Cruz (15th) and Jordan Wallace (16th) received All-MIAA Honorable Mention recognition.

Winona State, which won the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) race, and Pittsburg State, which claimed the MIAA title by a single point, are the top two teams in the Central Region. Nebraska-Kearney and Minnesota State rounded out the top five.

The Hillcats will compete in the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin on Nov. 8. The women's race will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the men's race at 11 a.m.
