KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) announced its preseason polls on Monday morning at the 2025 MIAA Basketball Media Day, and Rogers State men's basketball was ranked second in the coaches' poll and third in the media poll.
In the MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll, RSU earned its highest-ever ranking since joining the conference in 2019 with 141 points and one first-place vote, placing them second ahead of Central Oklahoma. Defending champions Washburn topped the list with 163 points and 13 first-place votes.
In the MIAA Basketball Preseason Media Poll, the Hillcats secured the third spot with 286 points and one first-place vote. Washburn also claimed the top position in this poll with 346 points and 23 first-place votes, followed by the defending tournament champions Fort Hays State, which had 297 points and one first-place vote.
