KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches (USC) released its final Top 25 poll of the regular season, and Rogers State men's soccer (12-2-4, 8-2-2 GAC/MIAA) checked in at 13
th.
RSU concluded the regular season with wins against Northeastern State (1-0) and Harding (2-0), advancing four spots in the poll. This marks the Hillcats' highest ranking since Sept. 30, when they achieved a program-record eighth place. Sophomore
Louis Bassett was named GAC/MIAA Offensive Player of the Week after collecting five points on the week with a pair of goals and an assist.
Jake Simpson's squad is now focused on the postseason, beginning with the GAC/MIAA Tournament on Nov. 13 and 15. They will face the Newman Jets in the semifinals, with the winner set to compete against either top-seeded No. 4 Fort Hays State or Northeastern State in the championship game on Nov. 15 at 1 p.m.
RSU is currently ranked third in Super Region 3 standings and is positioned to host the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 21 and 23 at Soldier Field. The next regional rankings will be released tomorrow. Stay tuned for updates on
