NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Region recipients, and RSU's Amy Morefield, Kaylee Nay and Brooklyn Garafola were recognized for their performances at the NCAA Central Region Championships. Three selections to the USTFCCCA All-Region Team is a new school record for the Hillcats.
 
Morefield finished fifth and set a new school record in the women's 6K with a time of 21:08.27 at the regional championships. Her performance qualified her for the NCAA Division II National Championships on Nov. 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course. Additionally, the Fairfield, Texas, native tied the school record for the highest individual finish in the program's history, placing fourth in the women's 6K with a time of 21:40.30 to earn All-MIAA First Team honors at the MIAA Cross Country Championships on Oct. 25 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
 
Nay was named All-Region for the first time in her career at the NCAA Central Region Championship, finishing 18th with a personal best of 21:41.34 in the women's 6K. The La Grange, Kentucky, native was also recognized on the All-MIAA First Team after placing 10th at the conference championships.
 
Garafola crossed the finish line in 19th with a personal best of 21:42.29 at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course, earning all-region honors for the first time in her career. She was recognized as an All-MIAA Honorable Mention after placing 11th at the MIAA Championships.
