CLAREMORE, Okla. – Fall sports continue their postseason, and both Hillcat basketball teams will compete at the Claremore Expo Center during a busy week on the Hill.

MEN'S SOCCER PREPARES FOR NCAA TOURNAMENT
No. 13 Rogers State men's soccer is awaiting the announcement of its opponent in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. RSU Athletics will host a watch party at 6 p.m. Monday inside the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center, Ballrooms B and C.

If the Hillcats receive the third seed in Super Region 3, they will host a game on Sunday. However, if they move up to the second seed, a play-in game between two lower seeds will be held at Soldier Field to determine their opponent for Sunday.

The Hillcats are coming off a runner-up finish in the GAC/MIAA Tournament last weekend in Hays, Kansas. They opened the tournament with a thrilling semifinal match, defeating Newman in a penalty shootout after the match was tied 2-2 following overtime. Junior goalkeeper did not allow a single goal in the shootout, helping the Hillcats edge the Jets 2-0. Despite taking an early 1-0 lead into halftime of the championship match, No. 4 Fort Hays State rallied with two goals in the second half to secure a 2-1 victory.

MOREFIELD HEADS TO NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS IN WISCONSIN
Junior Amy Morefield will compete as an individual at the NCAA Division II National Championships on Nov. 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course. She secured her spot by finishing fifth and setting a new school record in the women's 6K with a time of 21:08.27 at the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships.

Additionally, last week, the No. 29 women's cross country team saw Morefield, Kaylee Nay and Brooklyn Garafola honored for their outstanding performances at the NCAA Central Region Championships. The selection of three athletes to the USTFCCCA All-Region Team marks a new school record for the Hillcats.

Nay earned All-Region honors for the first time in her career, finishing 18th with a personal best of 21:41.34 in the women's 6K at the NCAA Central Region Championship. The La Grange, Kentucky, native was also named to the All-MIAA First Team after placing 10th at the conference championships.

Garafola finished 19th with a personal best of 21:42.29 at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course, also earning All-Region recognition for the first time in her career. She received an All-MIAA Honorable Mention after securing 11th place at the MIAA Championships.

MEN'S BASKETBALL SET FOR HOME OPENERS
Roger State men's basketball, which is coming off a 1-1 weekend at the GAC/MIAA Regional Challenge in Skiatook, will host the University of Ozarks on Monday at noon for Claremont Elementary Day, and Southern Arkansas on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Last season marked the inaugural matchup between the two teams, with RSU taking command early and maintaining control to secure a 91-64 victory at the Claremore Expo Center. Three players from the Hillcats scored in double digits: Hamilton led with 19 points, four rebounds, two steals and an assist; Jabryn Anderson contributed 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal; and Aydan Perdue added 12 points, two rebounds and a steal.
