LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rogers State softball moved up to No. 8 in the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll of the regular season, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Hillcats moved up one spot from No. 9 in the preseason poll after starting the season with a 6-3 record. RSU remains the highest-ranked MIAA team in the poll ahead of No. 13 Central Oklahoma and Pittsburg State, who received votes. They are the second highest in the Central Region behind No. 6 Augustana and ahead of No. 23 Harding in addition to UCO and PSU.

The Hillcats are back in action on Friday, Feb. 14 as they travel to the Oklahoma City Metro area to compete in the Raising Canes Invitational and take on Southeastern Oklahoma State in Piedmont, Okla. First pitch is set for 5:15 p.m.
