SHAWNEE, Okla. - Rogers State men's and women's track and field opened the outdoor portion of the schedule at the OBU Invitational on Friday.
The highlight of the day came in the women's 5,000 meter when Rayna Kucharyski finished in second with a time of 18:06.05. Sisely Mitchell finished in fourth with a personal best time of 18:09.38 as a freshman. Kaylee Nay finished in fifth with a personal best time of 18:10.41 as a freshman. Riley Coleman finished in sixth with a time of 18:11.22. Kiera Blumhof finished in 11th with a personal best time of 18:55.02 as a freshman.Â
In the men's 5,000 meter, Cade McCall finished in 11th with a time of 15:14.92. Nathaneal Gibson finished in 20th with a time of 15:35.97. Julius Oheim finished in 26th with a time of 15:48.55. Nathan Hernandez finished in 29th with a new personal best time of 15:54.26, which is 0.99 seconds faster than his previous best. Lee Davis finished in 30th with a personal best time of 15:55.68 as a freshman. Colton Storm finished in 41st with a new outdoor personal best time of 16:23.57, passing his previous best by a whopping 25.0 seconds. Devyn Llewellyn finished in 43rd with a personal best time of 16:38.85 as a freshman.
In the women's 1,500 meter, Emily Cruz finished in seventh with a time of 5:00.40, setting a personal best as a freshman. Kenzie Gilliam finished in ninth with a time of 5:08.73, also setting a personal best time as a freshman. Britt Hunter finished in 21st with a personal best time of 5:38.26.
In the men's 1,500 meter, Kyle Ginn finished in 11th with a time of 4:12.71, just 0.40 seconds off his personal best.
The Hillcats are back in action tomorrow as they travel down the road to Tulsa, Okla. to compete in ORU Invite at the ONEOK Sports Complex.
