Three School Records Fall Across The KT Woodman Classic and Arkansas Spring Invite

WICHITA, Kan. and FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Rogers State men's and women's track and field saw three school records fall across the KT Woodman Classic and the Arkansas Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

At the KT Woodman Classic on Friday, Cade McCall broke the men's 10,000 meter school record as he finished in third with a time of 31:12.17, breaking the previous record set by Nick Williams in 2021 by 16.63 seconds. It is also the second fastest time in the MIAA this season. Julius Oheim finished in 20th setting a personal best time of 32.20.38. Nathan Hernandez finished in 30th setting a personal best time of 32:45.51. Lee Davis finished close behind in 31st setting a personal best time of 32:50.91. Colton Storm finished in 42nd setting a personal best time of 33:58.67.

In the men's 3,000 meter at the Arkansas Spring Invitational on Saturday, Nathaneal Gibson won the event and broke the school record with a time of 8:39.53, smashing the previous record by 13.27 seconds which was set by Jackson Stinnett in 2024. Kyle Ginn finished in third with a time of 9:10.00. Clint Stapleton finished in fifth with a time of 9:27.89.

In the women's 3,000 meter, Cadence Cordova won the event and broke the school record with a time of 9:57.05, shattering Brianna DeAngelis-Stinnett's record from 2024 by 15.36 seconds. Katie Byrd finished in fourth with a new outdoor personal best time of 10:16.85, which is a whopping 30.97 seconds faster than her previous best. Rayna Kucharyski finished in sixth with a new outdoor personal best time of 10:28.47, which is 2.10 seconds faster than her previous best. Kaylee Nay finished in 13th with a time of 10:57.63. Kiera Blumhof finished in 15th with a time of 11:15.63. Elena Fries finished in 16th with a time of 11:21.62.

In the men's 1,500 meter, DeShawn Crowe finished in fourth with a new personal best time of 3:59.52, which is 1.31 seconds faster than his previous best. Blake Feron finished in 11th with a season-best time of 4:10.99, 8.93 seconds faster than his time from earlier this season. Sam Hays finished in 14th and set a personal best time of 4:13.43.

In the women's 1,500 meter, Sisely Mitchell finished in seventh and set a personal best time of 4:44.75. Riley Coleman finished in 12th with a new personal best time of 4:50.13, which is 6.00 seconds faster than her previous best time. Emily Cruz finished in 13th with a new personal best time of 4:50.99, which is 9.41 seconds faster than her previous best. Kenzie Gilliam finished in 18th with a new personal best time of 5:01.47, which is 7.25 seconds faster than her previous best.

In the men's 400 meter, Isaac Conder finished in 29th with a time of 50.55.

In the men's 800 meter, Ian Conder finished in 21st with a time of 1:56.48. Solomon Higgins finished in 25th with a season-best time of 1:56.75, which is 3.10 seconds faster than his time from earlier in the season.

In the women's 800 meter, Ann-Marie Dorsey finished in sixth with a new personal best time of 2:19.75, which is 13.98 seconds faster than her previous best. Savanna Wainscott finished in ninth with a new outdoor personal best time of 2:21.08, which is 4.56 seconds faster than her previous best. Sisely Mitchell finished in 12th with a time of 2:25.54. Jillian Skalicky finished in 13th with a time of 2:25.92.

In the men's 4x400 meter relay, the Hillcats finished in 11th with a time of 3:20.66.

RSU is back in action on Wednesday, April 16 as they travel to Azusa, Calif. to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational.
