CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State men's golf's Elliot-han Monteremal heard his name called on Friday as he earned an at-large individual berth to the NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Region Championships on May 8-10 in St. Joseph, Mo. at the St. Joseph Country Club.
The Central Region is composed of the MIAA, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and Great American Conference. Ten teams from the three leagues along with four individuals will join with 10 teams and four individuals from the Midwest Region to form the 20 team, 90 individual field.
Monteremal is one of four individuals from the Central Region to earn the individual berth and is joined by Missouri Western's Jeffrey Johnston, Fort Hays State's Cooper Scheck and Southwestern Oklahoma State's Jack Phillips.
The top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals, May 19-23 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
