Hillcat Women’s Golf Earns At-Large Berth To NCAA Central Region Championships

CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State women's golf heard their name called on Monday as they earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships on May 5-7 in Edmond, Oklahoma, at KickingBird Golf Course. This is RSU's fifth-straight season earning an at-large bid.

The Central Region is composed of the MIAA, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and Great American Conference. 18 teams and six individuals fill out the field.

The Hillcats are one of nine MIAA teams to qualify for the regional, the most of the three conferences. They will be joined by Central Missouri (who earned the MIAA automatic qualifier by winning the MIAA Championship), Arkansas-Fort Smith, Nebraska Kearney, Missouri Southern, Central Oklahoma (host), Northwest Missouri, Washburn and Missouri Western.

The top four teams and the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championship to be held May 13-17 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. Should the Hillcats make the field, it would mark the fourth time in five seasons to appear in the finals.
