KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rogers State softball saw seven student-athletes earn All-MIAA honors as the Association announced its list of yearly awards on Tuesday.
 
Abbey Rogers, McKayla Carney and Kaylee Lyon were all named First Team All-MIAA. A product of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Rogers finished the regular season with a .487 average along with 46 RBI, nine home runs, a .783 slugging percentage and a .547 on base percentage. She currently leads the league in OBP and is second in average, slugging percentage, total hits (74) and OPS (1.330), which is on base percentage plus slugging percentage. Carney, a native of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, finished the regular season with a .341 average, 11 RBI, a .486 on base percentage and two stolen bases. A product of Norman, Oklahoma, Lyon finished the regular season with a .378 average, 30 RBI, 10 home runs and a .652 slugging percentage.
 
Harley Culie, Jade Sanders, Callie Yellin, and Chloe Bohuslavicky were named Second Team All-MIAA. Culie, a product of Peggs, Oklahoma, finished the regular season with a 17-5 record in the circle, with four saves, and pitched to a 2.57 ERA over 150.0 innings, recording 121 strikeouts and holding opposing hitters to a .230 average. She currently ranks third in the league in innings pitched, fourth in wins, sixth in saves, and eighth in strikeouts. A native of Stonewall, Oklahoma, Sanders concluded the regular season with a 13-6 record and two saves in the circle, pitching to a 2.16 ERA over 132.2 innings. She currently ranks sixth in the league in ERA. Callie Yellin, hailing from Farmersville, Texas, concluded the regular season with a .333 average, a team-high of 12 home runs, 43 RBI, and a .660 slugging percentage. A product of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Bohuslavicky finished the regular season with a .317 average, 45 RBI, 10 home runs, and a .617 slugging percentage.
 
Rogers also picked up Gold Glove honors for her defensive performance as a catcher. The senior finished the regular season with a .996 fielding percentage, making 210 putouts on 232 chances with 21 assists and only one error while gunning down three runners on 19 stolen base attempts.
 
The Hillcats begin their postseason journey on Thursday, May 1 as the No. 3-seed in the MIAA Tournament and take on No. 6 Washburn in the quarterfinals in Hays. Kans. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
