RSU graduate to head sports information department

CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Chris Ratcliff has announced Brandon Dugan as the new Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.

"We are so excited to have Brandon back on the Hill as an administrator," commented Dr. Ratcliff. "He was an invaluable part of our staff while he was a student, and it's been a joy to watch him grow since graduating." Ratcliff added, "Brandon's attention to detail, calm demeanor and adaptability in a constantly evolving industry make this hire a no-brainer."

Dugan will spearhead the sports information department and serve as the media contact for all Hillcat sports.

"I am thrilled to return to my alma mater and would like to thank Dr. Chris Ratcliff and Dawn Tatro for this opportunity," Dugan said. "Rogers State is a special place, and I look forward to covering and sharing the story of this great institution and its student-athletes."

Dugan joins RSU from Missouri Western State University, where he served as the Director of Athletic Communications for one year. In this role, he served as the primary media contact and statistician for all Griffon sports while also overseeing the athletics website.

Before his time at MoWest, Dugan was a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Concordia University, St. Paul in Minnesota. He was the primary media contact for the soccer, swim and dive and baseball programs while completing his master's degree in business administration.

The native of Owasso, Oklahoma, earned a bachelor's degree in sports management in 2022 from Rogers State University. During this time, he also interned and worked as a student employee in the athletic department.

Dugan has experience not only in collegiate athletics but also as a statistician and official scorer for the Tulsa Drillers, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the St. Paul Saints, who are the Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.
