EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Former Hillcat starting pitcher
Colton Anderson agreed to terms on his first professional contract with the Evansville Otters. The Verdigris native reported to the organization on July 29.Â

Anderson, an NCBWA All-Central Region selection and a two-time All-MIAA honoree, pitched for the Hillcats from 2023 to 2025. The left-handed pitcher finished his career at RSU with 154 strikeouts over 200.2 innings in 46 appearances, including 35 starts.

In the 2025 season, Anderson posted an 8-4 record on the bump, leading the team with a 2.90 ERA over 77.2 innings while striking out 67 batters. He ranked third in the MIAA in both ERA and wins, and fifth in innings pitched and opponent batting average (.215). Notably, he threw a 9-inning complete game with six strikeouts and zero walks to secure a victory against national runner-up No. 2 Central Missouri at the RCB Sport Complex on March 22.
