LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its second regular-season national poll on Tuesday, and Rogers State softball dropped one position to 13th place.
The Hillcats concluded last week with a 3-1 record at the Cherokee Nation Softball Festival in Tahlequah. They secured victories against No. 24 Oklahoma Baptist (currently No. 22), East Central and Southwestern Oklahoma State. Their only setback came against Southern Arkansas, which is ranked 10th in this week's poll.
Auburn-Montgomery maintained the top position in the rankings. From the MIAA, Central Oklahoma fell 10 spots to 17th, while Missouri Southern climbed 10 spots to seventh. Pittsburg State is just on the outside looking in, receiving the second-most votes of any team outside of the top 25 in the poll.
Rogers State will face No. 14 Oklahoma Christian this afternoon at 2 p.m. at the RCB Bank Sports Complex.
