SPRING, Texas – Freshman Clara Ledun made history as the first RSU women's golfer to score a hole-in-one in the NCAA Division II era during competition play on the opening day of the Southern Invite at Cypresswood Golf Club.
 
The Hillcats are in third place on the team leaderboard with a two-round total of 605 (+29) on the par-72 course, shooting +16 in the first round and +13 in the second. UT Tyler leads the field with a score of 582 (+6), holding a nine-stroke lead over Dallas Baptist, which has a total of 593 (+17).
 
Freshman Lou Fourdan leads the Hillcats individually, tied for seventh with a score of 149 (+5). The native of Carnac, France, shot a 74 (+2) in round one, including four birdies, and a 75 (+3) in round two with three birdies.
 
Ledun jumped 15 spots in the second round to finish the day tied for 12th with a score of 150 (+6). The La Salvetat Saint-Gilles, France, native recorded her historic hole-in-one on the par-3 11th hole.
 
Sophomore Milena Andres finished the day tied for 25th with a score of 153 (+9). Senior Brianna Maddux totaled 154 (+10) to finish tied for 27th, while junior Lauren Anderson is tied for 40th with a score of 156 (+12).
 
The Hillcats will wrap up the Southern Invite tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
