SPRING, Texas – Rogers State women's golf capped off the opening tournament of the spring season with a fourth-place finish at the Southern Invite, held at Cypresswood Golf Club.
The Hillcats finished with a team score of 908 (+44) after posting their second-best round of 303 (+15) on Tuesday. UT Tyler captured the team title with a score of 882 (+18), while Dallas Baptist (+32) placed second. St. Mary's (+43) had an impressive final day to finish third.
Freshman
Clara Ledun, who recorded a historic hole-in-one, led the team with a sixth-place finish, scoring 222 (+6). She shot an even-par 72 in the final round, which included birdies on holes five and 17.
Lou Fourdan tied for 10th with a final score of 224 (+8), marking her third top-10 finish of the season.
Milena Andres (+15) tied for 32nd,
Brianna Maddux (+16) tied for 35
th and
Lauren Anderson (+19) tied for 45th.
Rogers State will return to action March 9-10 for the 11th Annual Hillcat Classic at Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso.
