PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – Dylan Ros's historic hole-in-one highlighted the RSU men's golf team's opening day at the Spring Bulldog Clash, held at the par-70 Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
The Hillcats finished tied for 13
th with Cedarville with a score of 598 (+15). Lenoir-Rhyne leads the team race with a score of 578 (18), with King trailing by only one stroke and USCA by two.
Callum Brown led the Hillcats with a score of 148 (+8). The native of Durham, England, finished the day tied in a tie for 32
nd place, recording a birdie in round one and a pair in round two.
Kobsak Phisitbuntoon resides in a tie for 48
th with a scorecard of 150 (+10).
Ros, who is tied for 56th with a two-round total of 151 (+11), made history with a hole-in-one on the par-3 sixth hole during the second round. The junior is the first men's golfer to achieve a hole-in-one during tournament play in the NCAA Division II era. He joins women's golfer Clara Ledun as the second Hillcat to reach this milestone; Ledun recorded the first hole-in-one of the DII era last Monday at the Southern Invite.
