HUMBLE, Texas – The Hillcat men's golf team held steady in 13th place on Tuesday at the Houston Classic, held at the GC of Houston.
Rogers State finished in 13th place with a score of 910 (+46) after 36 holes. The team recorded a score of 306 (+18) in the opening round and improved by seven strokes with a 299 (+11) in the second round. Dallas Baptist dominated the tournament, finishing with a score of 850 (-14). Harding (+3) took second place, while Central Oklahoma (+10) rounded out the top three.
Junior
Dylan Ros and senior
Tyler Collier finished tied for 40th with a score of 225 (+9). The duo shot 78 (+6) in the final round, leading the top finishers for the team.
Sophomore
Miguel Mora finished tied for 62nd with a score of 230 (+14). He was followed by freshman
Kobsak Phisitbuntoon in a tie for 71st with a score of 234 (+18) and senior
Aiden Deng, who tied for 76th with a score of 236 (+20).
RSU will return to action on Feb. 23-24 for the Spring Bulldog Clash in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
