CARMEL, Calif. – Hillcat women's golf concluded the Patriot Invitational on a high note, moving up three spots to finish seventh at the par-71 Quail Lodge Golf Club on Tuesday.
RSU recorded its best round in the final round, posting a score of 299 (+15) and finishing the tournament with a total score of 923 (+71). Dallas Baptist, ranked No. 2, secured the title with a final score of 879 (+27). No. 16 Tampa (+43) finished in second place, while Cal State San Marcos (+45) took third.
Lou Fourdan led the Hillcats, tying for 15th with a score of 226 (+13). The freshman carded a 73 (+2), featuring three birdies, to jump eight positions in the final round.
Senior
Brianna Maddux finished in a tie for 31st with a score of 232 (+19), followed by junior
Lauren Anderson in a tie for 39th with a score of 234 (+21). Sophomore
Milena Andres tied for 49th with a score of 237 (+24), and freshman
Clara Ledun rounded out the team in 51st place with a total of 238 (+25).
The Hillcats will co-host the Spring Regional Preview with Central Missouri from April 5-7 at Shangri-La Golf Club and Resort in Monkey Island, Oklahoma.
