Hill Earns First Career MIAA Pitcher of the Week Honor

The true freshman went 2-0 with a pair of shutouts against NWMSU and MWSU

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) released its weekly softball awards on Monday, and true freshman Kinsley Hill was named the MIAA Pitcher of the Week for the first time in her career.

The Dale, Oklahoma, native delivered outstanding performances for the Hillcats against Northwest Missouri State and Missouri Western, improving her record to 7-1 this season. The right-handed pitcher tossed two complete-game shutouts to finish the weekend with a 0.00 ERA. She allowed just three hits over 13 innings and tallied 15 strikeouts.

Hill is the first Hillcat to receive MIAA honors this year and the first to earn this accolade since Harley Culie in 2025.

Rogers State softball (20-10, 4-4 MIAA) will return to the RCB Bank Sports Complex for doubleheaders this Friday against No. 17 Central Oklahoma and Saturday against Newman. Action against the Bronchos will begin at 3 p.m. Friday, and the first pitch against the Jets is scheduled for noon Saturday.
