KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) announced its weekly baseball honors on Monday afternoon, and senior
Zach Horwith was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career. Horwith joins
Andres Contreras as the second Hillcat to earn MIAA recognition this season.
Â
Horwith (5-0) made history in the series opener against Emporia State by becoming only the second Hillcat in program history to throw a no-hitter. The senior right-hander achieved this impressive feat during a seven-inning, run-rule victory. The Castle Rock, Colorado, native struck out five batters and issued just two walks in his eighth start of the season.

No. 15 RSU baseball (27-4, 15-2 MIAA) will return to the RCB Bank Sports Complex tomorrow at 2 p.m. to face Central Oklahoma. The Hillcats will conclude the week with a crucial three-game series this weekend in Warrensburg, Missouri, against No. 6 Central Missouri.
