WINGATE, N.C. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Week 10 poll on Wednesday, with Rogers State maintaining its seventh-place ranking, earning 398 points.
In the NCBWA Central Region rankings, Rogers State held onto the top spot with 105 points and eight first-place votes. The other teams rounding out the region's top five are Pittsburg State, Central Missouri, Northwest Missouri State and Augustana.
In national rankings, Colorado Mesa continues to lead with 500 points and all 20 first-place votes, followed by defending national champion Tampa with 467 points and North Greenville with 456 points. Other MIAA schools in the rankings include Pittsburg State at 10th, Central Missouri at 14th and Northwest Missouri State at 25th.
The Hillcats (34-6, 22-4 MIAA) secured the season series over Central Oklahoma on Tuesday in Edmond, winning 21-10 in eight innings. This marked the team's 12th run-rule victory of the season.
Additionally, Rogers State ranks seventh in this week's American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Week 9 poll with 245 points.
