RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Rogers State softball (30-16) and Arkansas Tech (33-12) split a regional non-conference doubleheader at Chartwells Women's Sports Complex on Tuesday, with each game showcasing tight contests that ended in 1-0 decisions.

GAME ONE: RSU 1, ATU 1
Rogers State secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Arkansas Tech, capitalizing on a third-inning run and benefiting from a strong pitching performance, recording 12 strikeouts and allowing only four hits.
The game-winner came when
Chloe Cardona doubled to left field and advanced to third on a wild pitch.
Rylee Bush then singled to second base, driving in Cardona for the game's only run.
At the end of the third inning, the Cats led 1–0. The defense for RSU held strong throughout the game, supported by a complete-game shutout from pitcher
Harley Culie (11-5), who struck out 12 batters and allowed only four hits in her 22nd start of the season.
The Golden Suns threatened in the seventh inning with a single by Curry, but a pivotal out at home plate ended the threat for the final out of the game.
Offensively, Bush managed two hits, including the decider. Cardona added the Cats' lone extra-base hit and scored the winning run.
GAME TWO: RSU 0, ATU 1
In a tightly contested matchup, RSU fell to ATU 1-0.
Despite the Hillcats holding the Golden Suns to just three hits, Arkansas Tech capitalized on a late opportunity to secure the win.
The game remained scoreless through the first six innings, with both teams showing strong defensive play.
Baylee King was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning but was caught stealing, keeping RSU off the scoreboard.
Jaden Jordan provided a spark in the sixth inning with a single down the right-field line, but the team was unable to capitalize on the opportunity.
In the seventh inning, Arkansas Tech's Abby Lowery, who pinch ran for Riley Drake, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and later scored on Miya Curry's RBI single to left field to secure the walkoff victory.
Kinsley Hill (11-5) pitched a complete game, allowing only one earned run over 6.1 innings. The freshman recorded one strikeout and allowed just three hits.
Jaden Jordan contributed offensively with one hit and one walk.
Saylor Brown and Bush added hits as well.
