INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the sixth straight year, the Rogers State Women's Golf team, which was ranked second in the final rankings, has earned its spot in the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament, as announced by the NCAA this afternoon. Play is scheduled for May 4-6 at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Joining Rogers State from the MIAA are Washburn, Central Missouri, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Central Oklahoma, Nebraska-Kearney, Northwest Missouri, Missouri Western and Missouri Southern State.
Four regional tournaments, each featuring 54 holes, will determine the teams that qualify for the NCAA Women's Golf Championships. Eighteen teams from the East, Central, South and West regions will compete, along with six individuals not affiliated with those teams, to secure their spots at nationals. The NCAA Championships are set for May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Last year, RSU finished fifth at the Central Regional Tournament in Edmond, with
Lydia Sitorus (2021-2025) qualifying for nationals as an individual by tying for fourth place. In the 2023-24 season, the Hillcats, led by Sitorus' individual title, finished third, tying their second-best finish in program history. Their top performance at regionals came in the 2020-21 season, when they placed second at St. Joseph Country Club, thanks to an individual title from Jessica Green (2017-22), which earned them a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
Last time out, the Hillcats secured a third-place finish at the 2026 MIAA Championship at Mule National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri. Sophomore
Milena Andres led the team with a tie for third place, while junior
Lauren Anderson also performed well, tying for ninth.
