KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) announced its Week 4 women's soccer Player of the Week honors on Tuesday, naming senior
Calais Butts as the MIAA Goalkeeper of the Week for the first time in her career.
Butts (4-1-1), the reigning MIAA Goalkeeper of the Year, recorded two shutouts for Rogers State, who defeated Fort Hays State 3-0 and Nebraska-Kearney 2-0 at Soldier Field. The Edmonton, Canada, native made four saves against FHSU and eight saves against UNK. She played all 180 minutes in goal.
She is the first Hillcat to earn this accolade since Tiffany Brittan in 2023 and the first player since Alix Tirado-Negrete in 2024 to receive player of the week recognition.
The Hillcats will travel this week for a highly anticipated matchup on Friday at 7 p.m. against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos at Tom Thompson Field in Edmond.
