About: Tobias returns to RSU for her second season after competing in three distance events as a freshman on the inaugural track and field team. The Dallas, Texas product ran in the 1,500 meters at the UCA Open with a time of 5:19, finished the 3,000 meters at the Tulsa Duels in 11:47 and turned in a best of 20:01 in the 5,000 meters at the UCA Open. She has run in 10 cross country events during her two seasons on the Hill and ran her fastest 5k time at the OBU Invitational in 2015 running 20:30.06, while her best 6k came at the season-ending 2015 Heartland Conference Championship where she covered the course in 24:18.0 placing 29th. Tobias joined the Hillcats from Duncanville High School where she competed for Head Coach Beale Tolbert for two years. She helped the Panthers to a 5A District championship in 2013-14. Tobias placed in the top 30 at the regional meet running a personal-best time of 19:27 in the 5k. The daughter of Gabriel Beltran and Bianca Beltran, she said she chose RSU because "the campus was very beautiful, the coach was super nice, and the girls on the team were very welcoming."
