About: Burford is back on the Hill for her second season in the navy and red following a 2013-14 season where she saw action in 25 games. The Dallas, Texas native averaged 5.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while playing 15.6 minutes per contest in her first season at RSU. She scored in double figures seven times, including a career-best 15 points at Southern Nazarene, while totaling a career-high nine rebounds twice at Newman and UA Fort Smith. Burford joined the Hillcats from Jacksonville College where she played for Head Coach Lynn Nabi for two years. She appeared in 23 games for the Lady Jags as a sophomore averaging 2.9 rebounds per game. She also shot 78.9 percent from the charity stripe in 2011-12. As a freshman, she averaged 10.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and two assists per outing. As a senior at David W. Carter High School, Burford averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game after averaging 8.8 points per game with 3.6 rebounds as a junior. She is the daughter of Cathy Burford and Dewanyne Smith.
