Biography

About: Valdez played in 49 of the Hillcats 50 games in 2010 while starting in 39 contests. He drove in 23 runs on 32 hits. Valdez joined the RSU baseball program in time for the spring semester after starring for two years as a two-sport player at Becker College. Valdez was a member of both the basketball and baseball teams at Becker and was named the baseball team’s most valuable player in 2009. He tallied 58 hits during his sophomore season and finished with a .410 batting average. Valdez was voted conference MVP and said he chose RSU because “it’s a good, up and coming program and I like the people here.”
