Biography

About: Cassity appeared in 11 games, starting in nine, as a sophomore and registered a 4-3 record in 34 innings pitched with a 6.62 ERA. He played 13 games as a true freshman in 2010. He registered a 2.98 ERA as he earned two wins and one save on the season. The southpaw garnered Sooner Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of April 4-11 after registering a win over Oklahoma Wesleyan and a save over USAO in 2010. He signed with the Hillcats following a storybook prep career at Barnsdall High School. The southpaw amassed 500 strikeouts during his high school career and tossed two nohitters. Cassity went 10-2 on the mound during his senior campaign and also placed third in the state wrestling tournament. He said he chose RSU because “I like the coaching staff, the location of the school and the success of the program.
