Biography

About: Mims began his career at Louisiana Tech before transferring to LSU-Shreveport where he led the team in blocked shots while shooting 50 percent from the 3-point mark. Mims was named an All-State honoree in high school at Evangel Christian in Shreveport. He claims to be a great cook and loves food while also enjoying the outdoors and fishing. Mims said he chose RSU because “it was a good fit and I love the people.”

Barkley on Mims: “Mims has the abitlity to stretch defense with his soft touch. He’ll be important to our team with his
play in the interior on defense. He can shoot from behind the 3-point arc and could be a factor in that aspect as well."
