About: Alexander returns to the Hillcats' lineup for her senior season after appearing in 44 games in 2015 leading the team with seven home runs from the cleanup spot. The Paris, Texas native started 41 games playing primarily at first base and posted a .285 batting average as a junior, while her 21 RBI ranked third on the team. She came to RSU following two seasons at Paris Junior College playing under Head Coach Chelsey Jordan. In her sophomore campaign, Alexander belted 18 home runs while posting a .400 batting average in 47 games helping the Dragons to a second-place finish in conference play. She was named a NJCAA Third-Team All-American and earned first-team all-conference and first-team all-region honors. The daughter of Gerald and Kristi Norrell, she said she chose RSU because "of school and softball."
