About: Apolinar is back on the Hill for her final season with the RSU track and field team. During the 2015 season, the Mineral Wells, Texas native ran a personal best 20:14 in the 5,000 meters at the UCA Open. She was the first Hillcat women's runner to compete at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship finishing the marathon in 3:06:41.10 placing 11th in 2013. In her cross country career, Apolinar earned All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors as a sophomore. She came to RSU from Mineral Wells High School where she earned team MVP honors and was a cross country regional qualifier her senior year, where her best time was 12:20. Apolinar was named team MVP as a junior and was a regional qualifier as a sophomore. The daughter of Jose and Maria Apolinar, she said she chose RSU because "I really liked the school and the coach."
