Logan Froese was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team from 2009-2013. A homegrown product from Claremore, she made a lasting impact on the program leading the team to three appearances in the NAIA National Championship Tournament, including a magical run to the quarterfinals of the championship in the 2011-12 season. That season, Froese was named to the NAIA All-Tournament Second Team and an All-Sooner Athletic Conference Honorable Mention as she put up 21 points in two different games of the tournament run. In her senior season, Froese was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American after she led RSU to its best record, finishing the year 24-10 with an appearance in the second round of the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

She rewrote the record book in her time on the Hill, still ranking as the women’s basketball all-time leading scorer with 1,182 points. Froese also ranks among the top five in several other career categories including first in field goals made (459), rebounds (777) and games played (129) among others; second in field goal percentage (.549); fourth in games started (92) and steals (142); fifth in blocks (59); and seventh in assists (183).

After her playing career, she remained with the Hillcats as a student assistant for the 2013-14 campaign and then moved on to serve as a graduate assistant at Division I Tulsa in 2014-15. She returned to Claremore for the 2015-16 season as an assistant coach for two seasons under head coach Bobby Cope. As an assistant, Froese helped guide the Hillcats to a 14-12 record in her first season on the bench and coached Kami Bunch to All-Heartland Conference honors as the program’s all-time leading assists record holder. Froese is now a successful assistant coach at girls’s basketball powerhouse Lincoln Christian School in Tulsa.
