AUSTIN, Texas - Rogers State recovered well from an exhausting one-point win Saturday and completed a perfect road trip with an 86-59 victory over Huston-Tillotson Monday night in Austin, Texas.

The Hillcats received a boost with the return of Deveric Taylor and Lance Sullivan to lineup. RSU was forced to play with only six players against Our Lady of the Lake Saturday as injuries continued to pile up. Taylor scored a game-high 17 points in his return while Sullivan added eight points, three rebounds and three assists.

The Cats took control of the game early on. RSU shot 48 percent in the first half and led by 13 at the break. The Hillcats benefited from a 55-40 rebounding advantage overall, leading to 26 second chance points. Chris Francis recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Sylvester Spicer tallied 13 points and eight rebounds. Joey Twilley added eight points and 11 boards.

Huston-Tillotson was held to just 29 percent shooting in the contest and made only two of its 21 3-point attempts. Titus Butler led the Rams with 16 points. He was joined in double figures by Darrall Glover and James Black with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Rogers State (5-2) will take four days off before hosting Southern Nazarene Saturday night in the Sooner Athletic Conference home opener at the Claremore Expo. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. and the game will be carried live on RSU Radio 91.3 FM.
