CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State put its recent struggles aside and snapped a two-game skid with an 88-69 win over Dallas Christian Saturday at the Claremore Expo.

Coach Lloyd Williams received major production from each of his top four scorers in the victory. Sylvester Spicer, Reggie Burnett, Lance Sullivan and Deveric Taylor accounted for 78 of the Cats 88 points in the contest.

RSU took control from the outset with a 20-4 run over the first six minutes of the game. Spicer poured in 12 first half points while Taylor added 11 with three treys. The Crusaders trailed by as many as 20 in the first period, but managed to cut the deficit to single digits right before the half. Taylor buried his third three on the Cats final possession to send RSU to the locker room with a 40-28 advantage.

The Hillcats opened the second half with seven straight points and held a double digit lead the rest of the way. Dallas Christian got within 13 points with four minutes remaining. However, RSU answered with an 11-0 run and coasted to a 19-point win.

Spicer turned in his most complete performance of the season with 22 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. Burnett also produced a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. Sullivan continued his stellar play on offense with 20 points while also setting a new team record with 10 assists. Taylor finished with 19 points as the "Big Four" accounted for 89 percent of the RSU offense.

Antwan Warren led the Crusaders with 26 points. Dallas Christian was held to just 36 percent shooting and was outrebounded by the Hillcats, 52-36.

Rogers State (6-4) will take two days off before traveling to Edmond, Okla., Tuesday night for its final game of the fall semester. The Hillcats will face the University of Central Oklahoma in a non-conference tilt scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be carried live on RSU Radio 91.3 FM.
