CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State Men's Golf team fell one place on day two of the Hardscrabble Invitational, taking fifth overall in the final regular season tournament of the season.
The Hillcats matched their second-round score of 290 as a team, finishing the week at 868, 28 shots over par.
Edwin Blomander led the way for the Hillcats, shooting three rounds of 71 to finish three over par. Blomander had four birdies in the final round to earn eighth overall.
Patrick Bart also shot a 71 on Tuesday, moving up the leaderboard to finish 29
th overall at +15.
Luke Palmowski had the highest round of the day for the Hillcats, shooting a 76. Palmowski fell back to a tie for 19
th overall, finishing at +9.
Aidan Gavey and
Gonzalo Chaves entered the day tied for third for the Hillcats and they remained that way as both players shot 74 in their final round. The duo finished tied for 24
th at +11.
The Hillcats will return to action on Sunday with the first of three rounds over three days at the Heartland Conference Championships in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. The tournament will run from April 14-16 at the Slick Rock Golf Club.
