LUBBOCK, Texas- The Rogers State men's golf team finished second in the LCU Chap Classic at The Rawls Course on Tuesday.

How it Happened: The Navy and Red were able to gain a stroke on the leaders, Western Texas College, but were unable to close the three stoke lead Western Texas built up from the previous day to finish in second place.

Players of Note: Luke Palmowoski led the Hillcats on all three days to finish in third place, shooting a 71 in the final round for a 212 for the tournament. Palmowoski led the invitational in birdies with 15 over three rounds.

Nicolas Horder and
Aidan Gavey tied for second on the score card for the Hillcats as they both shot a 73 in the final round and a 217 to finished tied for 11
th. Horder was able to record an eagle in the tournament along with 10 birdies. Gavey tallied 12 birdies and 31 pars in the tournament.

To round out the scorecard for the Hillcats,
Edwin Blomander and
Gonzalo Chaves both tied with a score of 226 to finished tied for 26
th. Blomander shot his best round of the tournament on the final day with a 73. Chaves shot a 75 to finish the tournament.

Up Next: The Hillcats will host their home tournament on March 16-17 at the Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso, Oklahoma.
