BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Rogers State men's golf currently sits in second place after the first round on Monday.
After 18 holes at the Par 72, 6,909-yard River Course at The Club at Indian Springs, the Hillcats sit in second place with a card of 281 (-7). The second RSU team sits in 10th place with a card of 294 (+6).
Aidan Gavey led the Hillcats in a three-way tie for second place after shooting 67 (-5). He logged six birdies in the round.
Daniel Robles is next in a five-way tie for ninth with a card of 70 (-2). Luke Palmowski sits in a group of 10 tied at 14th with a 71 (-1). Gonzalo Chaves is in a large group of 12 tied at 31st with a 73. Ty Nicar rounds out the squad in a group of 11 tied at 74 (+2).
William Barnak is leading the second RSU team in the group of 10 tied at 14th with card of 71 (-1). Both Tyler Cornwell and Bradley Wright are in the group of 12 tied at 31st with a 73 (+1). Elliot-Han Monteremal sits in a group of seven tied at 72nd with a card of 77 (+5). Carson Stookey rounds out the group in an eigth-way tie for 82nd after shooting 79 (+7).
Round two was suspended due to darkness and will resume tomorrow at 8 a.m., with the third and final round starting at approximately 10 a.m.
