CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Baseball has made schedule changes for this weekend's season opening doubleheader and next week's home opener due to weather conditions predicted for the next week.
Rogers State's season opening doubleheader at Northwestern Oklahoma State scheduled for this Saturday, February 13, has been postponed. The doubleheader, which was set to be a pair of nine-inning games, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 23 at 1 p.m. in Alva, Oklahoma, and will be a pair of seven-inning games.
Baseball's scheduled home opener against Minot State on Wednesday, February 17 has also been postponed. The single game has been pushed back a week to February 24 at the Diamond Sports Complex. The game is still scheduled for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
With the postponement, the Hillcats are now scheduled to open up their season and the home schedule on Friday, February 19 with the first of three games against Colorado Christian in a weekend series. Rogers State and Colorado Christian will play a single game at 3 p.m. at the Diamond Sports Complex on Friday with a doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
