ST. JOSEPH, MO. – The Rogers State women's golf team finished in fourth place after a windy day two of the Holiday Inn Express held at the St. Joseph Country Club, held by Missouri Western State University. Winds throughout the day were a bit calmer than day one but still ranged between 20-30 mph, with gusts over 40 mph.
 
Jessica Green led the Hillcats with a sixth-place finish. She finished with a score of 80 on the day, shooting 41 on the front nine and 39 on the back nine holes. The junior had eight pars and also finished with birdies on holes six and 12.
 
Mariana Flores was second for the Hillcats in the two-day event, finishing with a score of 83 in round two. She shot 40 on the front nine and 43 on the back nine holes. The senior had six pars and a birdie on hole 12.
 
Sydney Murray, Marelda Ayal, and Jaelynn Unger all tied for 37tf in the individual standings.
 
Murray rebounded after shooting a 90 on day one of the competitions with a second-day score of 80. The senior shot 39 on the front nine and 41 on the back nine holes, with eight pars and a birdie on hole one.
 
Ayal finished the day with a score of 85, shooting 43 on the front nine and 42 on the back nine holes. She had four pars and two birdies on holes eight and 17.
 
Unger finished the day with a score of 88, shooting 43 on the front nine and 45 on the back nine holes. She had five pars on the day.
 
The Hillcats finished fourth overall in the 18-team field. All five Hillcats finished well inside the top half of the 93-golfer field.
 
Rogers State will now set its focus on the Newman Spring Invitational on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 6-7. The event will be held at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas.
