NORMAN, Okla. – Rogers State men's golfer Luke Palmowski has been named to the NCAA Division II Ping All-Central Region Team.
 
The honor comes after Palmowski reached the NCAA Division II National Championships in Florida as an individual in May.
 
Palmowski finished as the top individual at the NCAA Central Region Championships in Kansas City, Missouri, placing sixth overall to earn a spot in the national championship event.
 
Prior to the NCAA postseason, Palmowski received all-conference first team honors after a remarkable spring that featured two individual victories. He claimed the first MIAA Individual Championship honor for the Hillcats, after winning the MIAA Championship event by seven strokes.
 
The junior played in seven team events in the spring, recording two victories, as he also won the NSU Golf Classic in the final regular season event of the year. Palmowski also had two runner-up finishes and six top 5s. His worst finish of the regular season was a seventh in a 146-golfer field.
 
Palmowski finished the regular season with a head-to-head record against other individuals of 599-15, boasting a win percentage of .976. In the five events Palmowski didn't win during the regular season in 2021, the Rotherham, England native finished off the winners' scores by a combined total of 12 strokes.
