PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – No. 15 Rogers State men's golf won the Spring Bulldog Clash in the final round on Tuesday. RSU has now won three-straight tournaments dating back to the fall season.
After 52 holes at the par 72, 6,526-yard Caledonia Golf and Fish Club, the Hillcats won with a card of 845 (+5), five strokes ahead of second place.
Luke Palmowski led the squad in a tie for first, but loss in a one-hole playoff after shooting 203 (-7) for the tournament. He shot the low round of the tournament with a 65 in the first round and drained 11 birdies and an eagle in the three rounds.
Ty Nicar finished in sixth after turning in a card of 211 (+1). Daniel Robles finished eighth with a 214 (+4) performance. Aidan Gavey finished in a four-way tie for 15th with a 217 (+7). Gonzalo Chaves rounded out the group in a tie for 37th after shooting 224 (+14).
The Hillcats will be back in action on Monday, March 7 as they travel to Fort Smith, Ark. to compete in the Hardscrabble Invitational held at the Hardscrabble Country Club.
