HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Rogers State women's golf sits in first place after the opening round of the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship on Monday.
After 18 holes at the Par 72, 5,932 yard Hot Springs Country Club, the Hillcats are the leaders in the clubhouse after turning in a card of 296 (+8) on the day, four strokes ahead of second place.
Marelda Ayal leads the team in third place after shooting 71 (-1) in the round, just one stroke off the leaders. Jessica Green and Jaelynn Unger sit in a group of six tied at sixth with cards of 74 (+2). Lydia Sitorus sits in a five-way tie for 20th with a 77 (+5). Kristin Gudmundsdottir rounds out the squad in a five-way tie for 35th after turning in a card of 81 (+91).
The Hillcats will continue the tournament tomorrow with the second round.
