OWASSO, Okla. – Rogers State men's golf won the Eighth Annual Hillcat Classic on Tuesday.
After three rounds at the Par 72, 6,695 yard Bailey Ranch Golf Club, the Hillcats won their home tournament after turning in a card of 869 (+5).
Elliot-Han Monteremal led RSU with a second place finish after shooting 212 (-4) over the 52 holes. The junior sank 13 birdies in the tournament.
Jack Roche finished in a tie for fourth with a card of 218 (+2), shooting a 70 in the final round.
Ty Nicar finished seventh with a 220 (+4), tying for the lowest round of the tournament with a 68 in the final round.
Daniel Robles finished tied for eighth with a 221 (+5).
Tyler Collier finished 30th with a 232 (+16). Tyler Corwell rounded out the group in a three-way tie for 33rd with a 234 (+18).
Playing as an individual,
Pedro Benjumea finished in a three-way tie for 16th with a 224 (+8).
The Hillcats will be back in action on Monday, March 20 as they travel to Edmond, Okla. to compete in the Broncho Invitational at Rose Creek Golf Club.
