TOPEKA, Kan. – Rogers State men's golf wrapped up the first day of competition at the Washburn Invitational on Monday.
 
After 36 holes at the par 71, 6,901 yard Topeka Country Club, the Hillcats sit in a tie for 14th with a card of 599 (+31).
 
Elliot-Han Monteremal leads RSU in a five-way tie for 11th after shooting 143 (+1) on the day. Jack Roche sits in a four-way tie for 53rd with a card of 150 (+8). Tyler Collier sits in a five-way tie for 64th with a 153 (+11). Callum Brown sits in a three-way tie for 74th with a 155 (+13). Maddox Bullen rounds out the group in 82nd with a 159 (+17).
 
The Hillcats will look to climb the leaderboard in the final round of the tournament tomorrow. A shotgun start is set for 9 a.m.
