PITTSBURG, Kan. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field wrapped up the first indoor meet of the season at the Crimson and Gold Invitational on Saturday.

The highlight of the day came in the men's 600 yard, as
Phillip Owens finished in second and broke the school record with a time of 1:11.83, surpassing Elontae Battle's record of 1:12.26 from 2017.

In the women's 600 yard,
Ann-Marie Dorsey finished in seventh with a new personal best time of 1:29.42, which was 5.10 seconds faster than her previous best.
Savanna Wainscott finished in 10th with a new personal best time of 1:32.12 as a freshman.

In the women's mile,
Sisely Mitchell finished in 11th place with a personal best time of 5:14.93 for the freshman.
Jillian Skalicky finished in 24th with a time of 5:29.57.

In the men's mile,
Ian Conder led RSU in 15th with a time of 4:22.19.
Clint Stapleton finished in 26th with a new personal best time of 4:27.06, which was 6.62 seconds faster than his previous best.
Ryan Valdez finished in 42nd with a new personal best time of 4:38.19 for the freshman. Freshman
Sam Hays finished in 46th with a new personal best time of 4:40.13.

In the women's 800 meter,
Kenzie Gilliam finished in 15th with a personal best time of 2:23.57 as a freshman.
Leyla Saldana finished in 18th with a personal best of 2:29.39.
Isabel Bush finished in 24th with a time of 2:35.90.

In the men's 800 meter,
Isaac Conder finished in 10th with a time of 1:56.54.
Solomon Higgins finished in 12th with a new indoor personal best time of 1:57.19, improving his best time by 0.37 seconds.

In the women's 200 meter,
Lilli Joseph finished in 59th with a time of 27.93.

Elena Fries finished in 35th with a time of 11:10.66.

Aidan Jimenez finished in 18th with a personal best time of 8:54.35.

The Hillcats will take a break for the holidays and will return to action in the new year on January 18 as they travel to Maryville, Mo. to compete in the Coach Alsup Invite, hosted by Northwest Missouri.
