BOULDER CITY, Nev. -Â Rogers State women's golf's Lydia Sitorus wrapped up the first day of competition at the NCAA Division II National Championships on Tuesday.
After 18 holes at the par 72, 6,164 yard Boulder Creek Golf Club, the senior sits in a group of eight tied at 69th after shooting a 76 (+4).
Sitorus got off to a slow start but rebounded nicely after bogeying the first hole with seven-straight pars. She hit a snag as she came up with a bogey on No. 9 to finish the front nine at +2.
The Bitung, Indonesia native had another setback on No. 11 with a bogey. Again, she didn't let that phase her as she strung together four pars before sinking a birdie on No. 16. Unfortunately, she stumbled on No. 18 with a double bogey to finish the day carding a +4.
Sitorus will look to climb up the leaderboard in the second round tomorrow as she is set to tee off on No. 1 at 2:30 p.m. CT.
