TULSA, Okla. – Freshman
Kobsak Phisitbuntoon leads the Hillcats, who sit in 14
th with a score of 575 (+7) after the opening two rounds of competition at Page Belcher Golf Course – Stone Creek.
Central Oklahoma leads the team race with a score of 550 (-18). Central Missouri, which held a two-stroke lead after the opening round, finished second with a score of 553 (-15). Pittsburg State closed out the day in third place with a score of 554 (-14).
Phisitbuntoon delivered an outstanding performance in his second collegiate outing, breaking his previous season best round of 73 (+3) established last week at The Mule. The native of Chiang Rai, Thailand, shot a 70 (-1) in round one and a 67 (-4) in round two, finishing the day with a total score of 137 (-5) that included 12 birdies. His score tied him for ninth on the leaderboard.
Dylan Ros provided the second-best performance for the Hillcats, finishing with a two-round total of 146 (+4) to tie for 67th.
Tyler Collier (+6),
Aiden Deng (+7) and
Callum Brown (+7) rounded out the lineup for RSU.
Rogers State will return to Page Belcher tomorrow morning for the third and final round of the NSU Men's Classic.
